Design Week Portland

The festival has been postponed to August 1–8.

In the beginning of March, we were hopeful that the festival could continue in April as planned, given our local footprint and distributed structure. However, in light of what we continue to learn about the most effective efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, we feel that postponing is the best course of action. Thank you in advance for your patience and support. We want to do what’s best for the well being of our team, our organizers, and our community at large.

Are all events and open houses shifting?

We’re working with organizers to determine next steps for each individual event and open house. We will retain a great deal of programming with the new dates, but some events and open houses may cancel. There may be a rare instance where an event stays in April.

What will happen to tickets I’ve purchased, and my festival pass?

If you’ve reserved tickets for events, you will hear from us within the next week about the status of those events. If the event is unable to move and needs to cancel completely, we stand behind full refunds for those tickets. If it’s moving to August, your purchase and RSVP will remain intact, but we will honor any refunds for those who can’t attend.

Your festival pass will be automatically extended through the new festival dates in August.

When will you have the final schedule for August?

Please bear with us as we work through all of the operations involved in this enormous undertaking. We hope to have clarity around the final schedule and be open for registration again sometime in April.

What if I want to get a refund?

We will honor all requests for refunds. There is likely to be a high volume of communications when we announce this shift, as we help organizers adapt, but we promise that you’ll hear from us about any requests as soon as we’re able to get back to you.
