New Tools for Interior Designers: Reimagining the Handmade Rug

Join us in the Lapchi Rug Design Studio as we descend down the rabbit hole for an event that promises to be a feast for the senses.

Be present for the unveiling of a collection of stunning new handmade rugs, unlike any you have seen before. Meet Lapchi Rug Designers Tom DeMarco and Nathan Tucker. Hear them talk about the creation of the Tocca Collection and the many new ways Tocca techniques can be used in both residential and commercial environments. No longer is rug patterning strictly a function of color variation. Like the ripples left in the sand as the tide recedes, Tocca rugs are textured expressions of pattern with or without the use of color. Tocca is rich for the eyes and the hand.

All will have the opportunity to examine the process of transforming a design idea into a final product. Design professionals will learn how to incorporate up to six different weaving techniques to create beautifully textured, patterned rugs in a range of styles for future client projects.

Relish in the opportunity to consider texture, form, and color in the wider interior with an inspiring tile response to Tocca presented by Pratt & Larson.

This is a milestone event, beginning and ending with opportunities to explore the exhibition and interact with design professionals, with the structured talk presented in the middle of the session. Enjoy light organic fare and refreshments, inspired by Tocca design. Enter a raffle to win a handcrafted entry rug.

This Festival Event has ended.
