Making Design Matter: A panel discussion on measuring what we design

How do we know that what we design is working? When do we measure our impact? How do we even begin to do so? And who decides what matters?

Join us for an exciting moderated panel discussion that will focus on these questions and more to explore the why, how and what of measuring what we design. Panel participants will include representatives from the academic, private, philanthropic, and non-profit worlds. You can expect to learn about social impact design projects and different ways to measure impact; celebrate successful application of replicable or scalable methodologies, strategies or frameworks; and openly discuss challenges and opportunities in this space.

Our expert group of panelists include the following:

Jacen Green, Director of Impact Entrepreneurs
Justin Yuen, CEO of Grouptrail (formerly FMYI)
Mary Li, Director of Multnomah Idea Lab (part of Multnomah Department of County Human Services)
Moderated by Valerie Armstrong, Design Strategist at Context Partners
