About
The University of Oregon School of Architecture and Environment seeks to provide a space of critical dialogue about the role of design and the future of the city.
Creative Design Solutions will explore how strategic combinations of design and planning teams and citizen stakeholders can devise creative solutions to pressing environmental and other problems that communities confront. How might we conceptualize design problems expansively such that innovative approaches can be implemented?
Please join us for an evening with:
- Michael Singer: Renowned Artist (Michael Singer Studio)
- Maria Cahill (Recode)
- Josh Cerra (Cornell University Landscape Architecture) and
- Sabrina Ortiz Luna (University of Oregon)
...in exploring new and innovative approaches to the multifaceted design and urban challenges Portland and other cities now experience.
Creative Design Solutions will entail a series of short (lightning) talks that will provide the framework for a lively discussion about the role of designers as community activists and the role of community members as creative agents for change.
