Accessible Design: Empathy in a World with No Averages

Accessible design solutions are frequently relegated to “the right thing to do” or a “nice to have,” but at Phase2, we know accessible design's power to vastly improve impact, reach, and quality of the work - on screens and in the physical world.

Our in-house accessibility expert, Catharine McNally, was one of the first and the youngest ever in the US to receive a cochlear implant, and she has a lifetime of experience being an advocate and activist in creating better digital and physical experiences - for all humans.

Come learn Catharine‘s powerful story and immerse yourself in hands-on interactive empathy building exercises that emulate disabilities such as hand tremors, dyslexia, low vision, and temporary physical and cognitive disabilities. Then, put your skills to work solving real design problems.

Event admission includes a set of vision impairment simulation glasses to share with your team, a pocket guide to accessible design, Addy's Sandwiches (and options for dietary restrictions), and festive beverages. Please reach out to us if cost impedes your ability to attend!

Join us in learning to create magnificent work that is empowered, not hindered, by accessible design and navigate a new perspective (literally!)
