At my botanical design studio and educational garden, I am connecting people to the beauty and purpose of native plants, through my one-of-a-kind living center-pieces, hands-on workshops and educational gifts for your home and garden. Poppy & Finch was born out of my graphic design background and my passion of native plants.
I transformed my front yard from lawn and typical invasive, non-native plants into an educational and engaging native habitat haven for the creatures in our garden. Neighbors can walk by our garden to learn the importance of native plants as the base food web for our wildlife. Xerces Society (xerces.org) will be there with their "pollinator pledge," a pollinator matching game, specimens, some trivia and Echo Valley Natives (echovalleynatives.com) will be there to show quite a selection of native plants for your different garden needs. Garden tour will be led by April Jamison from Garden Ecology (gardenecologypdx.com/) and you can ask her questions on creating a sustainable garden.
You will see different materials and resources as inspirations, throughout my studio and garden, for my center-pieces and product designs. You will also learn the versatility and usage of native plants through my one-of-a-kind center-pieces using repurposed vintage container or found objects, mounted pieces, terrarium, kokedama and more.
